Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of cookieb. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you’re using cookieb on behalf of a company, you’re confirming you have authority to bind that company to these terms.

1. The service

cookieb lets you add a cookie-consent banner to your website, customize it, automatically block scripts until a visitor consents, and see a log and statistics of visitor decisions. The service is provided “as is” and is currently offered free of charge during our beta period. We may introduce paid plans in the future, with advance notice before any existing feature becomes chargeable.

2. Your account

• You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account or adding a site.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use cookieb for any unlawful purpose, or to misrepresent the cookies/trackers actually used on your site.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts.
• Use the embed script or public API to submit fabricated consent records at scale.
• Resell or white-label the service without our written permission.

4. Your responsibility for compliance

cookieb is a tool to help you present a consent banner and record decisions — it doesn’t by itself guarantee legal compliance with GDPR, CCPA, ePrivacy, or any other law. You remain responsible for configuring your banner accurately (categories, wording) and for your site’s overall compliance.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but don’t currently offer a formal uptime SLA. We’ll try to give notice of planned maintenance that could cause downtime.

6. Intellectual property

We own cookieb’s software and branding. You own your site configuration, banner content, and the consent data collected on your behalf.

7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, cookieb won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any regulatory fines resulting from banner misconfiguration.

8. Termination

You can delete your sites or account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

9. Changes to these terms

We’ll update the date at the top of this page when these terms change and try to notify account holders of material changes.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Law Jurisdiction — to be finalized].
